What is Body Harmony?
Body Harmony ® is a form of therapeutic bodywork which stimulates the innate healing response that resides within everyone. A "listening" physical touch, tailored to the uniqueness of each individual body, is applied to create a healing environment where optimum health and balance is restored. It is the art and practice of aligning your body with your intentions.
How can it benefit me?
IIt can benefit anyone, from any walk of life, that wants to leave behind stuff that may have been useful in the past and that may not be useful now.You don't have to be ill !
What does it involve?
It involves communication between you and the practitioner. The practitioner would use as many skills as they have listening to what you say you want, using body language, tone of voice, breathing etc. etc. They may notice where a part of your body is moving slightly less or more than another part and this would be relevant in the session. When appropriate you would be asked to lay down on a massage table (fully clothed) and the practitioner would then work with a "listening" touch that would let your body change ("heal") itself as fast or as slowly as your mind-body wants to,
Do you have different courses?
Yes, there are various courses in different places. There are from one or two day courses in England right up to month long courses in Australia
.Are Sessions/classes one to one or in a Group?
Private sessions are usually one to one but when in a group doing a course they can often be with three or more.
What happens in a session?
A session can often be quite transforming as the ideal is for the practitioner to use their skills to let your body mind change in its own way and speed. So, the reason why it can be so transforming is because the practitioner is being there for you to change, not telling or manipulating you into change that they may think you need!
What is a Practitioner? Is there a qualification for a Practitioner?
A practitioner has had 100 hours experience and this should also have included the teaching of the five modules which includes an understanding of the basic principles.
